After mild cleansing (water is best! or use this oil to cleanse, see below), shake Summit Face Oil, pump once into palm (a little goes a long way, too much can cause build up). Use a fingertip to apply to forehead, cheeks, chin, neck. With fingertips, smooth into face with sweeping strokes from midline to hairline.

For cleansing, apply the oil in the same manner, directly over make up, sunscreen, sweat.  Run a facecloth under hot tap water and wring it out. It should be quite warm but not too hot, a comfortable tempurature for your face. Hold it over your face, close your eyes and breathe deeply for 3-6 breaths. This steams your skin, opening your pores and aids in the cleansing action of Summit Face Oil. Then start at midline and use gentle, small circles towards hairline, across forehead, between eyes, over nose, cheeks, and chin. The texture of the facecloth provides exfoliation, while the healing properties of plants cleanse and support the many layers of your skin.
There is no need to scrub, even if your acne is bad (especially then!), as the gentle action will be much more condusive than beating it up. Gentle cleansing helps keep the microbiome in place and deters the sebum (skin oil) from overproducing. If all the natural barriers our skin has are stripped away with harsh cleansers and exfoliants, our skin works overtime to rebuild this healthy boundary and often leads to problem skin. Creams, lotions and makeup clog pores, the overworking sebum builds up, and breakouts occur.

Once your skin has dried, tune in and feel if it needs more moisturizing. If so, usually only a half pump will work to give a little extra moisture to sustain through the day or night. 

Use this method in the morning and night, especially if you wear makeup. You will find that over time, Summit Face Oil will even skin tone. Some clients have stopped wearing tinted moisturizer, finding that thier colouring is fresh and natural all on it's own.
