11.22, a great day to start a new service at Irie Source! Shandrea O'Brien is now offering Jikiden Reiki on alternating Fridays. Of course, Irene was the first in line. She was excited to share her space with a dear friend and colleague. Here's her story:
Shan's confident hands and solid presence Irie.Freshed and Irie.Charged me.
When I receive Reiki, I am always open to messages and directives, that come in intuitive words or images from my higher self and the unseen. Sometimes there are more than others. In my last session with Shandrea, there were a lot of instructions to follow, as far as "to-do's". Today it was more of a "you are doing it, keep going" memo. There was a clear message of "you WILL BE the Queen of Follow Through!" That made me laugh out loud! ...will be.
It was more of an encouragement than a demand, along with a lot of support and a reminder of gratitude.
The gratitude bit made me tear up and take big breaths. Gratitude for my able body, and hands, especially. Gratitude for what I have been able to accomplish. So much gratitude. And a sense that all that I have been doing is a lot, and to take a step back, stop beating myself up (about the things that I haven't followed through with) and know that all is well. Transformation takes time, and I am doing it step by step.
Transformation requires change. Changing into what? An employer, a team leader, a mentor, an always learner, a safe haven provider. These are the directives of the coming years. As much as I would love to continue in the capacity of seeing 4 clients a day, I must prepare for the times when this will shift. Where 1:1 isn't quite the ask I am being called to, and where reaching a wider audience is a responsibility that seems daunting, but won't go away. A duty to expand.
In my last session with Shandrea, an affirmation of "you have the foundation" was crystal clear. And it was a beckoning for more.
This time, it was a nod to progress, right when I really needed it.
In addition to these nurturing messages, I could acutely feel my teeth. They had an altered sensation, like they were slightly buzzing, or puffed full of air. Especially the front ones. My mind went to....
teeth
bite
chew
swallow
digest
receive
release
'Don't bite off more than you can chew....'
and follow through with what you do bite into!
Be sure before you swallow.
It's easier to spit it out now.
If there's a gut feeling of nausea, pitch it.
If no nausea, swallow with confidence
and enJOYment.
Do the work of digesting: break it down, organize, deploy.
Step by step,
moving towards nourishment.
Trust the process and follow natural flow.
Receive receive receive.
When you have taken all that's helpful,
release.
Eliminate the byproduct, there is always
waste, it's a sign of living!
When Shan brought out her little Louise Hay book about emotions and the body, it said teeth are about decision making....tadaa!! Magic abounds.
I recommend a session with Shandrea, I am already looking forward to my next one.
Thank you for reading,
Irene
